Fitness Journey

When it's time to break my fast, i drink my daily green smoothie.

For me fitness has been a journey. It's a choice that i wake up and make daily. I experienced trying fad diets but i truly became successful when i made a lifestyle change. What does that lifestyle consist of? I eat a plant-based diet of mainly fruit and vegetables. I limit my intake of processed foods and sugar.

It is so important to take your journey one day at a time and PRAY. I practice intermittent fasting Monday- Thursday. During this time i only eat between the hours of 12p.m. to 8p.m. I wake up and start my day off with 8 oz. of black coffee and 4 glasses of water. While my body is still in a fasted state i begin my fasted cardio. This cardio lasts for about 30 minutes. Some of my favorite exercises to do as fasted cardio are jump roping, biking, running, walking, and stairs.

Green Smoothie Recipe:

  • 1 cup of kale

  • 1 cup of spinach

  • 1 banana

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened original almond milk

  • 1 tbs chia seeds

  • 1 tbs sea moss gel

  • 4 chunks of pineapple 

  • 1/4 cup of ice

  • add water if needed for desired consistency
